Widgets

Create Notion widgets in Blocky across charts, timers, study tools, and misc tools.

Widget categories

Blocky groups widgets into four categories:

ChartsVisualizing Notion datasource records as bar, area, line, pie, radar, or radical charts.
TimersStopwatch, countdown, Pomodoro, and world clock widgets.
StudyFlashcards, habits, and progress trackers.
MiscStreaks, horoscope, dice, quotes, and mood widgets.

Create any widget

  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. Click Create Widget.
  3. Select a Widget Category.
  4. Select a Widget Type.
  5. Select a Widget Variant.
  6. If Blocky asks for a datasource, choose a Notion datasource and map fields.
  7. Click Create.
  8. Use the editor to adjust general, data, config, style, and datasource sections.
  9. Save the widget.
  10. Copy an embed link.

Editor sections

SectionWhat it changes
GeneralWidget name, variant, and widget code import.
DataThe records or values shown by the widget, such as chart rows, flashcards, quotes, target dates, time zones, habits, progress values, moods, or dice settings.
ConfigVariant-specific content and appearance settings such as colors, labels, buttons, cards, progress displays, and quiz states.
StyleChart-only rendering controls such as axes, labels, dots, margins, chart radius, domains, and legends.
DatasourceNotion datasource selection and property mapping for charts, flashcards, and quotes.

Datasource support

  • Charts use a Notion datasource in the create flow.
  • Flashcards and quotes can use a Notion datasource or opt out and use manual data.
  • Timer, habit, progress, streak, horoscope, dice, and mood widgets use local widget data and configuration.
