Blocky support manual

Blocky Documentation

Learn how to create, configure, publish, and manage Notion widgets with Blocky.

What Blocky does

Blocky is a no-code widget editor for Notion. You choose a widget category, pick a type and variant, connect Notion data when the widget supports it, customize the appearance, preview the result, then copy an embed link into Notion.

Use these docs when you need to:

  • Create chart widgets, timer widgets, study widgets, and misc widgets.
  • Connect a Notion workspace or datasource to Blocky.
  • Understand editor session drafts, widget codes, and embed links.
  • Delete widgets, widget codes, or editor drafts.
  • Manage or upgrade a subscription plan.
  • Manage account name, email, password, and deletion settings.
  • Edit a widget from a private embed.

Start here

  1. Go to Dashboard.
  2. Select Create Widget.
  3. Pick a Widget Category, Widget Type, and Widget Variant.
  4. Configure a datasource if the widget asks for one.
  5. Edit the widget in the Blocky editor.
  6. Save it to the dashboard.
  7. Copy the public or private embed link.
  8. Paste the link into a Notion embed block.

Main concepts

  • Editor session draft: an autosaved editing workspace before a widget is finalized.
  • Widget code: a shareable code that lets another user import your widget style and configuration.
  • Public embed link: a view-only widget URL for Notion or any website.
  • Private embed link: an editable widget URL that can expose subscriber-only update actions.
  • Datasource: a Notion database connection that feeds chart, flashcard, or quote content into a widget.
